Community guidelines
Last updated 3 August 2026
TrulyWisely exists so people can find a partner — often with their family involved. That only works if the space is honest and respectful. These guidelines apply to your profile, your photos, and every message you send. They are part of our terms of service.
Be the person in the photos
- Your photos must be of you, and recent enough to recognise you.
- Your name, age, community, education and career must be truthful. A matrimony profile is the basis for someone's biggest decision — lying on it is not a small thing.
- One account per person. Accounts are for individuals, not brokers or bureaus.
Respect the person on the other side
- No harassment, threats, insults or hate — including on the basis of caste, religion, region, language, skin tone or body.
- A non-reply is an answer. Repeatedly messaging someone who hasn't responded, or finding them on other platforms after being blocked, is harassment.
- No sexually explicit messages or images. This is a matchmaking app; behave the way you would if their family could read the chat — because one day they might.
Hard lines — instant removal
- Anyone under 18, in any capacity, in any content.
- Asking other users for money, gifts or financial "help" — every variant of this is treated as a scam.
- Commercial sex, trafficking, or promoting paid services.
- Sharing another user's photos, chats or personal details outside the app without their consent.
- Threats or encouragement of violence or self-harm.
How enforcement works
- Reports are reviewed by a person, not just an algorithm.
- Depending on severity we warn, restrict, or permanently remove an account. Hard-line violations skip the warning.
- Accounts removed for serious violations cannot re-register — a minimal record is kept so they cannot immediately return.
- Where the law requires it, or where someone is in danger, we report to the authorities.
Report, even if unsure
You can report any profile or conversation from inside the app, and you can write to grievance@trulywisely.com. If something felt wrong, that is reason enough to report it — the review is on us, not on you.
Child safety standards
TrulyWisely is an adults-only service and prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in every form. Specifically:
- Nobody under 18 may hold an account. Every profile must pass a live selfie check, and suspected under-age accounts are removed on report.
- Any content, message or behaviour that sexualises, solicits, grooms or endangers a minor results in immediate permanent removal.
- Confirmed child sexual abuse material and credible offences against children are preserved as evidence and reported to the relevant authorities, including under India's POCSO Act and IT Act obligations.
- Anyone can report such content from inside the app (report on any profile or conversation) or to our designated child safety contact: S Uma Sankar, grievance@trulywisely.com, +91 85480 50741. Reports of this kind are prioritised ahead of everything else.
